I was purchasing my first home. Liz found a condo that I really loved but I wanted to make a slightly lower offer than the asking price. When Liz contacted the seller's agent to tell him she'd be sending over an offer, he told her "don't even bother" because it was not exactly what the sellers wanted. She was not deterred! We wrote the contract that night and sent it over and within 24 hours the sellers had accepted my offer in its entirety. For the remainder of the transaction she was very helpful and made sure that I had the best experience with the lender, the home inspector and the settlement attorney.
